Description

Excess free radicals cause premature aging Iron oxidizes, apple cuts darken, these are the clear signs of oxidation, such as the early signs of aging in people, due to an excess of free radicals, highly unstable molecules that produce cell damage, accelerating the aging process and associated diseases.
Free radicals in normal amounts are beneficial, but if they are not neutralized, in excess they are harmful to health.
This is one of the main causes of the aging process. What is a free radical? A free radical is a molecule with an atom that has lost an electron in its outer orbital.
They are very reactive molecules since they capture an electron from another molecule, in a chain process, which originates many oxidized molecules, and if the effect is continuous, the process of “oxidative stress” can be very harmful to health.
These are highly reactive molecules, with a very short half-life and a great capacity to damage cells.
As they have a very short lifespan they cannot be measured directly, so the assessment of a state of “oxidative stress” must be done immediately, determining molecules oxidized by free radicals in blood or urine.
The molecules that primarily attack free radicals are the double bonds of unsaturated fatty acids, and the end product of this process is Malonyldialheido, which is the substance that is analyzed in the kit. Why is it important to take the test? Oxytest is a urine test, it is used to know the level of oxidation and therefore, the excess of free radicals.
If an increase in the level of oxidation is detected, corrective measures can be taken, by regulating energy expenditure, and increasing the intake of antioxidants, either in the diet or in nutritional supplements.

What is analyzed?

The molecules that primarily attack free radicals are the double bonds of unsaturated fatty acids, omega 3 omega 6 and one of the oxidized products at the end of this process is Malonyldialdehyde, which is the analyte detected in the test.

Test characteristics

  • Oxidative Stress Test.
  • Urine test.
  • Test to be performed in situ in the consultation.
  • Immediate results.
    Easy to use.

Presentation

Box of 6 units.
  • For each unit includes:
  • Urine collection bottle.
  • Bottle to perform the test.
  • Two ampoules of reagent (A and B).

Indications

Excess free radicals are very harmful to health.
Its rapid and early detection can prevent the chronicity of the process by delaying the signs of aging and associated diseases (retinopathy, atherosclerosis, kidney disorders, degenerative diseases, alteration of the immune system, damage to the structure of DNA…)

  • Smokers: Consumption of one pack a day.
  • Obesity: excess calorie intake (carbohydrates and fats).
  • Athletes.
  • States of stress and anxiety.
  • Long exposures to the sun.
  • Infertility.

Conservation

The kit should be stored at room temperature.
