Unlike other extracts focused exclusively on the content of type A proanthocyanidins, Pacran™ preserves the complete matrix of the fruit, providing other phenolic compounds and metabolites, and soluble dietary fiber, creating a broad-spectrum synergistic effect, demonstrating its ability to reduce the urinary load of E. coli (main causative agent of UTIs), by inhibiting bacterial adhesion to the cells of the urinary tract.
Pacran™ has demonstrated in multiple clinical studies its efficacy in reducing the recurrence of urinary tract infections (UTIs), prolonging the time to the first episode of urinary infection and decreasing the average number of infections.

Lactobacillus reuteri (Limosilactobacillus reuteri), is a promising and safe option to improve the urogenital microbiota and prevent recurrent urinary infections.

This fat-soluble vitamin has relevant functions in the immune system:

• Maintenance of epithelial and mucous barriers. Good epithelial integrity is the first line of defense against the entry of pathogens.
• Participates in the function of macrophages and phagocytic cells: –Modulates the production of cytokines (immune messengers) that help coordinate the response to infections. –Favors antibody responses, especially in T cell-dependent antigens.

Its deficit is well established as a factor that increases susceptibility to infections, especially in contexts of malnutrition in countries with limited resources.

The mechanism of action in this type of infection is believed to be due to the fact that many uropathogenic strains of E. coli use the FimH adhesin (in type 1 filaments) to bind to mannosylated structures of the urothelial cells present in the urethra and bladder.

When D-mannose is consumed, it remains free in the urine acting as a “signal” and binds to the FimH structures of uropathogenic bacteria, saturating them. In this way, it prevents them from adhering to the bladder epithelium, remaining in the urine and being eliminated with urination. This mechanism is well described in reviews and biochemical studies.

Traditionally used for its antiseptic and diuretic properties in the urinary tract. Its essential oils help stimulate the kidneys, increasing urine production, which helps flush out bacteria and prevent infections.
